Overview
Bath Light Operatic Group commissioned a suite of promotional materials to support their production of The Addams Family. The aim was to create high-quality, visually engaging artwork that reflected the tone of the show while supporting ticket sales across print and digital platforms.
Objectives
- Create a cohesive visual identity for the production
- Support ticket sales through strong, recognisable promotional design
- Produce artwork adaptable across multiple print and digital formats
Creative Direction
Using official artwork supplied by the show’s license holder, alongside production photography, the concept was designed to feel like an aged photograph hanging in an old haunted house, a subtle reference to the gothic, eccentric world of The Addams Family.
Typography and layout choices were carefully selected to complement the visual assets while maintaining clarity and impact across all formats.
Process
This project followed a streamlined workflow, as key visual assets had already been provided. My role focused on:
- Selecting suitable fonts and typefaces to match the show’s tone
- Creating consistent layouts across a wide range of sizes
- Adapting designs for both print and digital use
Client feedback was incorporated efficiently, allowing the project to move smoothly from concept to final delivery.
Deliverables
- Posters in multiple sizes (A5 up to 1200 × 500mm)
- Social media graphics for promotional use
- Digital screen formats for online and in-venue advertising
Outcome
Bath Light Operatic Group were very happy with the final outcome. The cohesive, high-quality visuals helped elevate the promotion of the production and contributed to supporting ticket sales.
