Project Overview
The Great Wine Company approached me to create a collection of imagery for their new and exclusive wine range, Capeline. Their goal was to showcase the bottles across a variety of platforms, including social media, their website, and upcoming promotional campaigns. In addition to clean product shots, they also needed lifestyle-focused photography—both individual bottle compositions and grouped arrangements, to help visually communicate the brand’s character and elevate their online presence.
My Role
I was responsible for the full photography process, working independently to plan, shoot, and deliver a versatile set of images. The focus was on producing high-quality lifestyle visuals that could be used across multiple marketing channels while staying true to the premium feel of the Capeline range.
Challenges
The primary challenge during this project was the limited amount of natural light available in the shooting environment. As wine bottles are reflective subjects, this introduced potential issues with glare, harsh reflections, and uneven lighting.
Solutions
To overcome these limitations, I utilised a combination of artificial lighting and off-camera flash. This approach allowed for full control over highlights, shadows, and the overall atmosphere of each shot. By carefully shaping and diffusing the light, I was able to achieve the polished, consistent aesthetic the client envisioned.
Results
The final deliverables were a series of clean, high-quality images capturing the elegance of the Capeline range. The Great Wine Company used this collection across their website homepage, carousel banners, advertising material, and social media platforms. The visuals helped elevate their promotional campaign and effectively introduced the new range to their audience.
